Hi Sonny and Chance... Just wanted to send u a pic so u don't forget what I look like... I have gotten pretty big.. My human took me to the vet and I was fixed... I didn't think I was broke... But my human said I'm fixed now... Soooo yea! It was pretty painful, I cryed all the way home, but my human called in sick that day and rubbed my back and head all day, and gave me a lot of kisses, by the next day I felt better... Hope you and your human are doing good.

You can paint a portrait too!

ok...I'm going to teach my 3 LOYAL FOLLOWERS HOW TO PAINT a pet portrait!  Now...first... get you some paint and a paint brush.

draw a grid on your photo
paint a solid base coat on your canvas - allow to dry
with a China markup pencil...
draw a grid on your canvas.
draw your picture (follow the grid)
paint the darkest shades
paint some lighter ones
paint some hightlights
keep going, keep painting until it looks the same as the photo
keep painting EVERY single little hair until it looks like the photo..
paint a background....oh try to add some shadows in there for depth.  
*It helps if the photo has some shadows already. :)

Punky Rooster

Punky Brewster is complete!  Punky is part "Silkie"  He was known to have a little bit of an attitude, to say the least.  You can tell by his expression in this painting he's not going to back down.
Luckily Punky is beautiful, or else he'd probably would have ended up in a frying pan.  Punky lives on a farm, and is getting along nicely with the other Chickens and Rooster's after only 1 day of raising hell in teh coop.  The comission was pro bono, and the entire amount recieved has been donated to the Long Meadow Rescue Ranch to sponsor a Buff Colored Orpington Hen named Paris, at the Longmeadow Rescue Ranch Humane Society of Missouri!

...AND THEN I DISCOVERED THE WORLD OF ACRYLICS!

What in the world has blogger done?  I go away for a couple months and I don't even know how to post anymore!  Here's the deal....THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY TO BE SITTING AT MY COMPUTER POSTING, UPLOADING, AND UPDATING ALL THAT I NEED TO UPLOAD AND UPDATE AT THIS POINT..THE SUN IS SHINING FOR GOODNESS SAKE!....ok enough yelling.  I digress.

This here blog made me so sad today when I came and noticed my last post,  RIP Gus...was so NON CHALANT (sp?)  I seriously can't even write much less think too much about it.  I just try to keep the image of him flying thru the heavens, learning the ropes of having shed his physical body, wondering if, for his earthly wrongs, he's had to come back into the earthly realm and re attempt to learn some life lessons that were missed this last time around.  But dogs are already ascended, I hear!  They are here to assist in our ascension! Like stewards of the soul. Well if that's the case, then he has served his purpose.  Gus taught me how to love unconditionally, and he taught me what its like to feel love emenating from another's spirit.  Although he didn't often appreciate being grabbed and held, when he was in my arms, I could always feel his spirit radiating, swirling, and intertwining with mine. 

I still haven't sprinkled his ashes anywhere, I don't know why.

Wow, TIME IS accelerating FOR SURE!  I do not know how 7 months went by without a post.  JEESH...talk about losing your audience.

I've been away in Massachusettes...

....but i'm back! 
First let me talk about this fruit salad...it has nothing to do with Massachusettes, but was inspired by a salad Uncle Rick and Aunt Joan made one time! :)

Now let me show you the B&B I stayed at in Greenfield, MA

It was soo charming!

The B&B owner graciously let me drive her MIN Cooper Clubman while I was there!  She must not have spoken with my Uncle Bob about the white knuckle ride he experienced with me in STL, heehee.  I'm officially hooked...I must have one!!!

Got to spend time with my Aunt Carol and my gorgeous cousins...I'm the "one eyed girl" that apparently isn't using her right eye because I had no idea my hair was covering it at the time. :|



There's Grammie, my cousin Marc and I....Marc took me for a spin in his Charger later....

and then the Charger winked at me :) woo hoo!

This was early on...don't let the relaxed vibe fool you...the JAM SESSION started later....drummers, dancing and laughing of asses off ensued! 

My cousins and I held a quck YOGA session one morning on this mountain top!  I cannot believe how fast they ran up this mountain...I could barely keep up and needed oxygen seriously...and I run every day!  I am frequently called "fast walker" and i couldn't catch them...I'll be re-examining my fitness goals. ;)
